This notice is to the citizens residing inside the City of Liberty, South Carolina. Archie Newberry resigned from the Ward 4 seat on Liberty City Council effective Saturday, May 07, 2022. In accordance with SC Code of Laws 7-13-190 (C), a special election shall be held on Tuesday, August 02, 2022, to fill the unexpired term on Liberty City Council.
Registered voters who have lived in and have been a resident of Liberty, Ward 4 for a period of no less than 30 days immediately preceding the date of this election may file as a candidate beginning at Noon on Friday, May 27, 2022, until filing closes at Noon on Monday, June 6, 2022.
