Philip Trotter brings nearly 14 years of dedicated experience in local government to his role as the City Administrator of Liberty, SC, a position he has held with pride since February 12th, 2024. Acting as the primary administrative officer for the City, overseeing the implementation of city policies set by the Mayor and City Council on a day-to-day basis. Having fond childhood memories of visiting his grandparents in the Flat Rock Community, Philip is deeply rooted in the fabric of Liberty. Eager to lead positive transformations, he is committed to addressing the city’s infrastructure challenges and enhancing transparency in governance.
In his capacity as the chief administrator, Philip directs the city’s various departments and activities, ensuring the seamless operation of essential services such as police, public works, parks and recreation, and the public works department. Understanding the complexities of long-term change, he is actively engaged in fostering community involvement and collaboration. Philip is dedicated to navigating Liberty towards a prosperous future, embodying the city’s spirit of resilience and progress.
