Public Service Recognition Week is May 3–9, and it is all about celebrating those who serve. For us, that includes our amazing Parks and Recreation team, whose hard work helps create spaces and experiences that bring our community together.
From maintaining our parks and athletic facilities to organizing youth sports, community programs, and family activities, Parks and Recreation plays a big role in the quality of life in Liberty. Their work helps create memories, encourage connection, and make our city a place people are proud to call home.
Public servants fuel America every day, in every community, and we are proud to see that right here at home.
If you see a member of our Parks and Recreation team this week, take a moment to thank them for the work they do to keep our parks beautiful, our sports programs running, and our community connected through events and activities. Their hard work helps create spaces and experiences for families, athletes, and residents of all ages to enjoy.
To our Parks and Recreation team, thank you. We appreciate your dedication, your service, and the care you put into making Liberty a better place for everyone.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us as we recognize the rich culture, history, and traditions of Mexico. While it is often seen as a day of celebration, Cinco de Mayo actually commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza.
Though it is not Mexico’s Independence Day, the holiday has come to symbolize resilience, pride, and the strength of a community coming together. Today, it is widely celebrated as a way to honor Mexican heritage and culture, filled with music, food, and time spent with others.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!

A huge thank you to ClearWater Solutions for sponsoring this week’s employee appreciation lunch. Because of their generosity, we were able to provide a catered lunch from Little Bistro for our City of Liberty team as a small way to say thank you for all they do.
It meant a lot to take a moment and recognize the work our team does each day to serve the City of Liberty. We’re grateful for the time, effort, and care each of you puts into our community.
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us and be part of it. To those who couldn’t make it, we missed you and look forward to being together next time.
We appreciate you all more than you know!

As part of Public Service Recognition Week, we want to take a moment to thank the staff who work behind the scenes to serve our community. From answering phones and assisting residents, managing records, and keeping operations organized.
City Hall is often the first stop for questions, concerns, and support, and our team shows up each day ready to help. Their commitment to providing reliable, responsive service does not go unnoticed.
Public servants fuel our community every day, and we are proud to see that right here at City Hall.
To our City Hall team, thank you. We appreciate your dedication and the role you play in serving the City of Liberty.

Today, we are kicking off Public Service Recognition Week by recognizing the leaders who help guide Liberty forward!
Public Service Recognition Week is May 3–9, and it is all about celebrating those who serve. We’re starting the week by recognizing our City Council members, who dedicate their time, leadership, and service to our community.
Our Council works hard both behind the scenes and in the public eye to make decisions that shape the future of Liberty. They attend meetings, listen to concerns, support city projects, and work alongside staff to help keep our city moving forward. Their commitment to serving the people of Liberty does not go unnoticed.
Public servants fuel America every day, in every community, and we are proud to see that right here at home.
If you see one of our Council members this week, take a moment to thank them, share a kind word, or recognize the work they do for our community.
To our City Council, thank you. We appreciate your leadership, your service, and your dedication to the City of Liberty.
