Today, we'd like to say thank you to Mr. Tom Riddle! Tom is our Recreation Maintenance Assistant, but to us... he's the energizer bunny. Tom hops from place to place ensuring everything, everywhere, is done and he never stops! (Except once a day for an order of cheese sticks from Liberty Bell but can you blame him). Tom is truly selfless, hardworking and dedicated to the cause. He doesn't cut corners and pays great attention to detail when it comes to caring and upkeeping our facilities. Tom and his family moved to Liberty not long ago, but he serves this town like he has lived here his whole life. He is proud of the work he does, and he truly does it well.
Thank you, Tom, for your service and commitment to our community. Our department is better because of you!

Today, we want to say thank you to the head honcho - Coach Josh Black. Coach Black works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our department is running at full capacity. From our facilities to our families, he wants the best for everything and everyone. Many people don't see the weight he carries daily to ensure every child in our community have equal and ample opportunity to learn, grow, play, compete and most importantly - have fun. Whether it be on the field, the court, or our local parks and playgrounds, Coach Black is always working to give our kids the best that he can. From writing grants, maintaining facilities and giving back through coaching, he truly loves this community and takes pride in what he does.
Thank you, Coach Black for all you that you do. Our department is grateful to have you in charge!

Today, we want to say thank you to Mr. Scott Alexander. Scott is our Recreation Maintenance Coordinator. No stranger to Liberty... this is the town that raised him, where he calls home and where he so proudly serves every single day. Scott takes so much pride in maintaining our facilities. From the fields to the court... to the parks and parking lots... all the way down to toilets and of course, the everything in between, Scott does it all and does it the right way. Scott plays a vital role in ensuring the families in our community have a place to go to practice, play - and just be.
Scott has served our department and our community for so many years behind the scenes, but he truly deserves all the recognition! There is no story you can tell that he doesn't have one better and rumor has it... he's an alright referee.
Thank you, Scott, for all you do for our department. We appreciate you more than you know!

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a time to celebrate the birth of the United States and the freedoms our nation was founded upon. On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was officially adopted, marking the moment the thirteen colonies declared themselves free and independent from Great Britain.
Today, the Fourth of July is a celebration of patriotism, unity, and the enduring spirit of America. Communities across the country come together to honor our nation’s history with family, friends, traditions, and celebrations that remind us of the values of freedom and independence that continue to shape our country.

We would like to let residents know that utility bills have not been mailed yet due to a software issue with our billing software. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this issue is being resolved.
For residents whose bill amount is typically consistent each month, we encourage you to submit your payment as normal.
Please note that no late fees or disconnect fees will be applied during this time. Disconnections will resume in August.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact City Hall at 864-843-3177 ext. 2. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
Brush pick-up will now occur on your regular household trash collection day. Brown goods collection will take place on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
As part of this transition, the City will no longer maintain a call-in list for brush and brown goods collection. To help provide a more consistent and efficient service for all residents, collections will now follow the new set schedule. Residents are encouraged to place items out on the appropriate collection day.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we make this transition. These updates will help improve scheduling, efficiency, and overall service throughout the community.
If you have questions, please contact the Water Department at 864-843-3177 ext. 2.

As a reminder, all brush pickup requests must be called in to the Water Department to be added to the pickup list. To schedule a pickup, please call 864-843-3177 ext. 2.
We truly appreciate your continued patience and support.

The winner will win a prize!
