Community Partnership Funding

City of Liberty Introduces New Community Partnership Funding Program & Event Support Application

The City of Liberty has introduced a new Community Partnership Funding Program & Event Support Application to create a consistent, transparent process for requesting City support for community events.

Moving forward, all requests for City assistance related to community events should be submitted through this application. This includes requests for funding, road closures, City personnel, equipment, facility use, marketing support, and other City resources.

The Community Partnership Funding Program is designed to support events and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents, encourage community engagement, and contribute to the City's economic vitality. The program is available to eligible individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and civic groups throughout the City, ensuring that opportunities for support are accessible beyond downtown events.

To provide adequate time for planning, coordination, and departmental review, applications must be submitted at least 75 days prior to the event date. Applications received fewer than 75 days before an event may not be eligible for funding or reimbursement.

Approved applicants may receive reimbursement of up to $1,000 per event, subject to available funding and City approval. Reimbursements are issued only after paid invoices and proof of payment have been submitted. If City staff are required to work overtime to support an event, those costs will be applied toward the $1,000 reimbursement limit.

Each application will undergo a comprehensive review by the appropriate City departments, including Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Police, Administration, and the Mayor. This review process ensures that staffing, scheduling, logistics, safety, and available City resources are carefully evaluated before a request is approved.

The new application process is intended to improve communication, provide consistency in the review of community event requests, ensure responsible planning of City resources, and establish a fair and transparent method for evaluating requests.

Applications and additional information are available through the City of Liberty. Organizations and individuals planning future community events are encouraged to submit applications as early as possible to allow sufficient time for review and coordination.
