This week we are spotlighting Pendleton Candy Company!

From the moment the doors opened on November 1, 2025, this little sweet shop has been finding its place in the heart of Liberty. From day one, the welcome was warm and genuine, and it quickly began to feel like home. Liberty has already become such a meaningful part of the story, and it is an honor to be growing sweet memories here together.

The inspiration behind the shop goes far beyond candy. Kimberly says, “I wanted to build something that showed my daughter—and others—that even when the odds feel stacked against you, you can still create something beautiful.” Candy has a special way of bringing people together, sparking memories, and making people smile. This shop was created to celebrate those small moments of happiness and to give people a place where joy can be shared every single day.

Inside the shop, you will find handcrafted fudge, specialty chocolates, gourmet and nostalgic candies, custom gifts, and seasonal treats. Just as important as the sweets are the experiences that come with them- moments that bring people together and add a little extra joy to the community.

One of the most meaningful memories so far came during Trick-or-Treat on Commerce Street. Seeing families together, kids in their costumes, and the entire town coming together was pure magic. It was a moment that truly showed how special this community is and how lucky this business is to be a part of it.

Kimberly shared, “What makes owning a business in Liberty so rewarding is the people. Building relationships, meeting new faces, and becoming part of everyday life in the community makes it all worthwhile.”

There is always something fun ahead to look forward to! On February 11, the shop will be participating in Stroll in Venice in Downtown Liberty from 6:00–8:00 PM. Local stores and restaurants will be open late, and the shop will be bringing an Italian-themed Valentine’s experience to the evening.

You can find Pendleton Candy Company located at 18 S Commerce Street in Liberty. Stop by and say hello. They would truly love to meet you!
