We are so excited to officially share our brand-new logo, created to celebrate a huge milestone for the City of Liberty’s 150th birthday.
This logo represents more than just an anniversary. It tells the story of who we are as a community, where we have been, and where we are headed. Each element was thoughtfully designed to reflect Liberty’s identity and values. From the palmetto tree, symbolizing our deep roots in South Carolina, to the Rosewood Center entrance honoring our historic landmarks, every detail has meaning.
The train featured in the logo represents both our past and our present. The railroad that still runs through the city and the historic depot are important parts of Liberty’s story, and we did not want to lose touch with those roots as we look ahead.
You will also see fireworks and a waffle logo, highlighting the community events that bring us together year after year and showcase the spirit of connection and growth in Liberty. Some new events, and others timeless. A shopping stall is included as well, representing the past, present, and future merchants who have helped shape our local economy and who continue to call Liberty home.
You will also notice new, vibrant colors that are different from our traditional branding. We wanted this logo to feel fresh and forward-looking, something unlike anything we have done in the past, while still honoring the history that shaped us. It reflects our desire to celebrate where we came from while focusing on the future of our community.
For 150 years, Liberty has been built by the people who live, work, serve, and invest here. Generations of families, businesses, and neighbors have helped create the town we are proud to be today.
As we begin this year-long celebration, we are proud to share this logo as a symbol of our history, our community pride, and our future. You will see it throughout our sesquicentennial events, programs, and promotions as we honor Liberty’s past while celebrating what is still to come.
This milestone belongs to all of us, and we cannot wait to celebrate alongside our residents, businesses, and visitors throughout the year.
Here’s to 150 years!
