The Liberty Police Department would like to announce its annual “Shop with a Cop and Other Heroes” event. This is an opportunity to work with families in our surrounding community, especially those with underprivileged children who may not have the same opportunities as others their age.
“Shop with A Cop and Other Heroes” is one of the ways we strive to strengthen our community and reach out to families in true need. Our department strives to make this a positive experience for the children. Children in need can purchase Christmas gifts, including ones for themselves and other family members.
Applications will be accepted by the Liberty Police Department located at 147B Kay Holcombe Rd. Liberty SC 29657
Deadline for Applications is November 30th, 2025.
Family notifications will begin on December 2nd, 2025.
Shop with A Cop will be held on December 12th, 3:30pm-5:30pm @ Walmart -1286 Eighteen Mile Rd, Central SC 29630
2025 Criteria:
Your Child must be in kindergarten through 5th grade.
You and your family must reside in Liberty, SC, or be enrolled in Liberty Elementary.
Child must be able to separate from families while shopping.
Child must be present on the shopping day/time to participate.
You must be able to drop your child off by 3:30 PM and pick them up by 5:30 PM on Friday, December 12th at Super Wal-Mart, 1286 Eighteen-mile Rd. Central, SC 29630.
*Child must not be participating in any other program.
Our organization will make selections from the applications based on the information provided. Families who have not participated before will be given priority; however, all applications will be given serious consideration. Given the program's popularity, we may have more applicants than openings. By completing and signing this application, you are giving the Liberty Police Department the right to make inquiries to other organizations, schools, churches, etc., regarding assistance you are receiving and your residential status.
