The Liberty City Council voted Monday Evening (7/12) to hire Michael E. Calvert as the new City Administrator. Mr. Calvert will officially join the Liberty team on Monday August 9, 2021.
Liberty’s newest hire comes from Lexington, South Carolina and is a graduate of Penn State University earning a Master of Public Administration degree.
He has experience in organizational management and administration, budget development, personnel leadership, and grant writing working in several levels of government: federal, state, and local, as well as economic development experience.
The City of Liberty is thrilled to welcome Michael aboard next month. His energy and excitement will be an excellent addition to our staff.
