Public Notice--on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, the City of Liberty reports a sanitary sewer line underneath the intersection of Odell St & Meadowbrook Dr is leaking sewage from a damaged sewer line. The estimated amount of leakage is 20 gallons a day and the City is working with a contractor to repair the line as soon as possible. The City advises residents and visitors to not drink from, or walk in, the unnamed ditch that runs in a southeast direction from the intersection of Odell St & Meadowbrook Dr and let nature take its course in cleaning the water just like it does with animal waste.
It is OK to drink from your faucets.This sanitary sewer overflow does not affect the City's water system and no boil water advisory is needed.
