Liberty competed in the Communication category with a written essay and
an oral and audiovisual presentation given by Mayor Deese and Roy
Costner.
We were thrilled when we received the call that Liberty had won this
prestigious award. Liberty was praised for it’s innovative way of
bringing people to our downtown area and for improving the quality of
life for its citizens.
By winning this award, Liberty has enjoyed statewide recognition through
local media outlets and magazines throughout the state. Liberty will
keep the winner’s cup for one year. We received a plaque to keep
permanently.
