Christmas DIY Party!

Want to help give the City of Liberty’s Christmas tree a personal touch?  Come out to our Community Christmas DIY Party on Monday, Nov. 30 at 6 pm at the Rosewood Center (419 E. Main St., Liberty) to decorate an ornament that will hang on the city tree downtown this year!  Admission is only $5 per person and includes an ornament, all craft supplies and refreshments!

To redeem free student passes:  RSVP by emailing jburns@libertysc.com or call 843-3177 ext. 6, then show up to the event with the voucher you received at school (LHS students may show student ID instead).  Alternatively, you may bring your pass to City Hall the week prior to the event to secure your spot.  (Please note:  Grants ONE free admission.)

**  Then, come find your ornament on the city tree during the Liberty Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Sat., Dec. 5 downtown beginning at 6 pm! **

Details:

You may decorate your ornament any way you choose.  You may use your ornament to honor a loved one, symbolize a family tradition or memory, or just be fun and festive!  We will provide a wide variety of craft supplies to decorate your ornament, but if you have something specific in mind that you’d like to bring from home (such as a stencil or a family photo), you are welcome to do that as well!  There are only a couple of rules:  You may not use harsh language or obscene/offensive graphics, and your ornament must be weatherproof as it will hang from an outdoor tree (so don’t cover it in paper, etc.)  If you violate these rules, we will not display your ornament on the city tree.

Please do NOT bring spray paint or other items that are not appropriate for an indoor space.  Remember, this event is taking place inside of a historic building.  Help us take care of it by exercising caution and common sense.

Please listen for instructions at the event about how to claim your ornament after the holidays.  Failure to claim your ornament as instructed may result in permanent loss of the ornament.  We are not responsible for damage to or theft of ornaments while on display on the city tree.
